About Mrs Walsh

MrsWaLsH (161 of 182)Television Reporter/ Presenter and Writer, my career has involved all aspects of the media. From modelling, acting and adventure-reporting to producing and stand-up comedy, I have worn many hats and continue to try on more. One of my favourite roles was that of adrenalin activity reporter on the Channel 9 show Escape with ET. I spent four years jumping out of planes, rock climbing, skiing, scuba diving, bungee jumping, kayaking, swimming with sharks and even sitting on the back of a four-meter-long crocodile.

My need for speed saw me take part in the celebrity race at the Australian Grand Prix. After a week of being the fastest lady, I crashed and burned on race day but was one of the few drivers to be invited to participate in the Celebrity Challenge for a second time for the 10 year anniversary at Albert Park. In April 2002 I was the Australian presenter for the E! Network program Style, shot in the Daintree rainforest and shown worldwide, with an audience of 80 million.

I have appeared at several venues around Sydney as a stand- up comedian and also MC, fulfilling my need to have a captive audience (aside from a lifetime of karaoke) With the birth of my daughter Montana, in 2003, I left Escape with ET to focus on my new role of Mother, which soon included the role of Business woman. Mrs Walsh, my label of slippers, intimate apparel and baby wear, began and was soon picked up by David Jones Australia wide and sold online through my website. My passion for short films saw me invited to Rome for the Australian Focus Film Festival in 2004 as guest of the Australian Ambassador alongside Michael Caton. My film, ‘Got to have it’, had its big screen Premier in Rome as part of the festival.

In 2006 my husband and I welcomed our second daughter Makenzie into the world and I added Columnist to my resume as a contributing writer to the Wentworth Courier as well as freelance for articles for ‘Title Magazine’, and ‘Women’s Health’ December 2010 saw the launch of my new website which combines blogging on food, wine & travel the three greatest pursuits in life. I am a passionate home cook and share my love of food on social media and my blog.

Wife, Mother, Passionate Home Cook & Traveller – the rest is TBC!
