Shelby’s Sidecar Tours

Shelby Sidecar Tours

When you touch down in Sydney it’s great to get orientated with a tour. Bus tours are fine if you enjoy crowds and instructions but if you want a tour that’s private and bespoke with a local in the know then Shelby’s sidecar tours are the bomb!

Excuse me? Could we stop for the restroom?

It’s the thrill and freedom of being on a motorbike yet the comfort and safety of a safe and stable sidecar. There’s just nothing like the feeling of being outside while you are cruising around the city. The sights sounds and smells give you a 4D touring experience as you coast along at a cruising speed of 35km perfect for having a chat as you ride.

Now that’s a cool ride !

My daughter and I had the opportunity to get the grand tour of the big smoke as one passenger can ride pillion whilst the other kicks back in the sidecar. Helmets, goggles and even a cosy lap rug for the sidecar make it style and comfort on equal measure.

Snug as a bug in a rug

We were unprepared for the sidecars attraction to the people of Sydney. There was an avalanche of smiles and waves, from enthusiastic well-wishers, leaving us feeling like visiting Royalty. We departed from Bondi Beach and headed on to the city for a cruise around the Opera house, through ‘The Rocks’ area and under the bridge. There are loads of places to stop along the way to get those iconic Sydney snapshots perfect for a holiday post.

The open-air environment of the sidecar makes it the most awesome selfie video environment imaginable, ideal for recording your adventure to look back on when the adventure has ended. We took it in turns and my daughter loved the cosiness of the sidecar when the weather got a little cooler.

It’s a perfect winter or summer experience and there are loads of tour options available including personalised picnics, There are also night tours which take in the lights of Luna Park, the Harbour Bridge and Kings Cross. The Mad about Manly tour takes in beautiful Shelley Beach, Freshwater, North Head, and many more northern beaches highlights.

Door to door transfers are also part of Shelby’s service and I’m seeing a school pick up followed by mummy from lunch combo in my future? A red carpet event arrival might also be fun! Picking up grandma from the airport? Jump on the website through the link bellow to see some of the tours and rates.

For a great weekend package, the Uber cool hotel QT Bondi Beach has a Shelby’s Sidecar parked in the driveway and offers packages including a tour.
